Looking to learn about the filmmaking process? Welcome to our Storyboarding Workshop for Beginners! Join us at Portland Digital Dabblers Events for a hands-on workshop where you’ll learn all the tips and tricks to create a stunning and unique storyboard with other artists. Expect a lot of learning, laughs, and support from all who attend. At the end of the workshop each student will have the opportunity to “pitch” their scene which gives folks the opportunity to see how each artist interprets and visualizes the script.
Whether you’re a beginner or looking to enhance your skills, this workshop is perfect for all levels. Don’t miss out on this opportunity to boost your storytelling game!

Whether you’re just starting out or an expert looking for a fun project, this workshop is for you!
Join the digital dabblers and make your very own storyboard! This week we will be boarding a scene from Star Wars the Empire Strikes Back. Next time we will be boarding a scene from The Princess Bride! If this workshop gains popularity expect it to become a regular event with many different famous movie scenes.
We’ll cover:

  • Together we’ll read through a movie script and make storyboards just like on a production.
  • You’ll even have an opportunity to pitch your boards and get useful feedback.
  • No previous experience required! We’ll cover what you need to know about framing your shots and visually communicating with your audience.
  • The goal is to have fun, meet fellow artists, learn useful skills, and make art together!

This workshop will be held on May 18th and June 1st at the Digital Dabblers Events building from 11:30am-2:30pm. (We’ll be using different scripts for each session)
