EVENT DESCRIPTION:
Join us for this LIVE Intro to Blender 2d Animation Workshop!
If you are a complete beginner to 2d animation or just want to brush up on your skills, this workshop is perfect for you! We’ll cover the basics of Blender, a powerful and popular 3d/2d animation software, and give you hands-on experience creating and rendering your own 2d animations!

OPEN TO BEGINNERS:
Can you draw a stick figure? Well then, you are qualified to attend this event! People who have taken this workshop find that there is a lot of information and hands-on learning. If you are feeling like you need additional help after class with some of the concepts, Daniel (TA and Co-host) will be available for virtual office hours.
Email for scheduling TA hours: daniel@digitaldabblers.com

BEFORE YOU ARRIVE:
Blender is cross-platform and runs equally well on Linux, Windows, and Mac computers. But before you arrive make sure your OS supports the latest version of Blender 3.6.2 LTS. Which can be downloaded here: https://www.blender.org/download/.
If you need a laptop or drawing tablet we have two spare lab computers, and three plug-in tablets that can be rented for use during the workshop.

WHAT IS BLENDER?
Blender is the free and open source 3D creation suite. It supports the entirety of the 3D pipeline—modeling, rigging, animation, simulation, rendering, compositing and motion tracking, even video editing and game creation. Blender is licensed as GNU GPL, owned by its contributors. For that reason Blender is Free and Open Source software, forever.
