Why Volunteer With Us?
Our Volunteers are treated like VIP’s and gain significantly more hands-on experience than our regular members. Benefits include:
- Dedicated blurb/photo and links on our About Us page
- FREE monthly membership (attend all Digital Dabblers workshops for free!)
- FREE coffee and snacks at all of our events
- Promotion on all of our socials
- Dedicated Portland teachers program at our Workspace in the heart of Portland Oregon
- Virtual Training via private Discord groups
- Real hands-on experience and letter of reference
- And mostly because it’s fun!
The lifeline and backbone of this community is all built on volunteers, trust, and respect. No officers or directors take a salary to carry out our services. 100% of donations go toward covering program expenses (office rent, supplies, etc.). To keep overall prices super low we rely 100% on volunteers to carry out our educational services. Volunteers are usually students, or individuals who are trying to build more advanced skills, and want to collaborate with their peers in a supportive environment. Teaching is also a great way to learn how to make online tutorials, or explaining things of substantial detail in as few words as possible. You will learn how to work with a diverse array of members with different needs and styles of learning or communicating. Lastly, there is also the overall satisfaction of being an educator and a mentor for your friends 🙂
