On Saturday August 22nd\, the Digital Dabblers will be flocking to the Dabney State Recreation Area for some fun and relaxation. Join us for picnicking\, swimming\, beach volleyball\, floating\, disc golf\, hiking and more! (last year we had 25 people in attendance and everyone had a great time!). Prior event photos below. \n\n\nDetails\n\n\nHey creative crew! On Saturday August 26th\, the Digital Dabblers will be flocking to the Dabney State Recreation Area for our 2nd Annual Summer Party! Join us for picnicking\, swimming\, potential bug bites\, volleyball\, and camaraderie! \nFOOD MENU \n\nBurgers (veggie and beef)\nHot Dogs\nFruit/Salad\nChips and Dip\nDesserts\nYou are welcome to bring your own food potluck style if you’re wanting to have something beyond the above options.*\n\n*The veggie burgers will also be gluten-free\, along with both GF/non-GF buns available. There will also be a GF/vegan dessert option! We will do our best to keep the GF/plant-based food that we provide separate and labeled\, but cross-contamination is possible. Please exercise caution if you have severe allergies or celiac! \nDRINK MENU \n\nPolar Seltzers\nSoda\nBottled water\nBYOB (alcohol will not be provided but you are welcome to bring your own if you are 21+)\n\nACTIVITY SCHEDULE \n\n11-11:30: Party Setup!\n11:30-Noon: Party kickoff and games/activities start. Daniel may or may not jump in the Sandy river to cool off before lunch.\n12:00-2:00: Lunch\, continued activities\, and general merriment\nMass exodus no later than 3pm! I know Paul might want to continue grilling burgers until midnight but it isn’t gonna happen! 🙂\n\nGENERAL ADDITIONAL INFO: \nCARPOOLINGFor carpooling\, event organizers will meet at Honey Latte Cafe at 10AM. We will aim to be at Dabney State Park by 11AM. We can sort out food and transportation on the group’s Discord. \nParking is $5 per vehicle and is limited to first come/first serve. Permits are purchased on site (recommend bringing cash). \nRULES \n\nNo pets allowed (service animals only)\nConsumption of alcohol allowed by persons 21 and over.\nSmoking tobacco products only allowed in vehicles\, in accordance with all applicable laws governing smoking in vehicles\nPlease bring a positive attitude\, make sure to clean up after yourself and have fun!\n\nThis is a free event but if you want to donate $10 to the Dabblers Fund for hosting and to support events like this happening in the future\, you can here!
