EVENT DESCRIPTION
Let’s have a party! On Saturday August 16th, the Digital Dabblers will be flocking to the Dabney State Recreation Area for some fun and relaxation. Join us for picnicking, swimming, beach volleyball, floating, disc golf, hiking and more! (last year we had 25 people in attendance and everyone had a great time!). Prior event photos below.
FOOD & DRINK MENU
- Soft Tacos (Chicken, Veggie, Beef)
- Fruit/Salad
- Cookies
- Chips (Lays, the usual)
- You are welcome to bring your own food potluck style if you’re wanting to have something beyond the above options.
- DRINK MENU
• Polar Seltzer (Mandarin, Strawberry Lemon, etc.)
• Soda (Coke, Sprite, diet Dr. Pepper)
• Bottled water
• Chemex Coffee
• BYOB (alcohol will not be provided but you are welcome to bring your own).
ACTIVITY SCHEDULE
• 10-10:30 Unpacking/Setup
• 10:30-Noon: Party kickoff and games/activities start (disc golf, swimming, hiking/walking, horseshoes, arts/crafts, etc.). Snacks/drinks in cooler.
• Lunch at Noon
• Raffle 1pm
• Mass exodus no later than 3:30pm
RULES
- No pets allowed (service animals only)
- Consumption of alcohol allowed by persons 21 and over.
- Smoking tobacco products only allowed in vehicles, in accordance with all applicable laws governing smoking in vehicles
- Please bring a positive attitude, make sure to clean up after yourself and have fun!
- Everyone who purchases a ticket for this event must agree to our code-of-conduct policy and liability waiver
Carpooling and FAQ
For carpooling, event organizers will meet at Honey Latte Cafe at 9AM. We will aim to be at Dabney State Park by 10AM. We can sort out food and transportation on the group’s Discord.
Parking is $5 per vehicle and is limited to first come/first serve. Permits are purchased on site (recommend bringing cash).
